Mount Merbuk, West Bali National Park Hiking & Trekking Tours Cost

To access the park and go hiking on the mountain, visitors must use the entrance at Cekik. An admission fee is payable here. A permit to enter the park costs Rp 40,000 per person.

It is expected that visitors keen to trek up Mount Merbuk will hire a local guide for their personal safety. Fees for the official guides are between 200,000 – 350,000 Rp for a two-hour hike. Make sure you bring your own food and water, as there is nothing available for sale once you enter the national park.

It is advisable only do the hike in the early hours of the morning as temperatures rise significantly through the day. So hiking at sunrise makes not just for a beautiful visual experience, it will also be far more comfortable with temperatures in the low 20 degrees Celsius.

You can get to the park via car or motorbike from the northern coast road via Lovina (90 mins) or Pemuteran (15 mins). If travelling from the south, you can travel via Gilimanuk (about 15 minutes).
