Pemuteran

Pemuteran is a charming fishing village located along the coastline of west Bali and its popularity with visitors has increased immensely in the last few years.

The village offers a sharp contrast from attractions in the southern region of the island, and this can be attributed to some of the unique attractions on location.

The village is most popular for the famous diving spots located at the nearby Menjangan Islands off the coast of the Bali Barat National Park. With more than a dozen diving sites, beginners and professionals can enjoy diving and snorkelling. Other ideal locations include the rich coral reefs off the shore and the Biorock marine project.

What’s more, Pemuteran is home to the biggest man-made reef project known as ‘BioRock’. Biorock is evidence of the marine conservation efforts in Bali in an attempt to sustain the environment along the coastline. The reefs are arranged methodically, creating a trail of snorkelling spots for divers.

Bali Diving Academy offers classes for those who would like to take the experience of a lifetime. The Academy has also teamed up with Villa Amertha and Taman Sari Resort to offer you exciting accommodation deals. Get a dive and stay package to enjoy your trip. There are special deals for families and those travelling in groups, so be sure to check the Academy’s website.

Visitors often get to Pemuteran via the North Coast Road. Bemos (public shuttle busses) travel along this route, but are often crowded, and can be an inconvenience for those on a tight itinerary. The better option is to hire a car and get a driver before touring the area.
