The shrines are set up in shelters that tower 26 feet above the ground and look over picturesque cliff edges. Therefore, visitors should be aware that a visit to this temple includes some steep climbs of over 300 steps. However, those that make it to the top will be rewarded with spectacular views.

There are plenty of places to rest along your walk up to the temples, as there are many sections to view along the way. There are plenty of rice paddies in the distance which make for beautiful panoramic views.

Visitors must ensure that they are appropriately dressed in sarongs to cover knees and ankles and tops that cover shoulders and midriffs. Bring your own water, there are a couple of vendors with water, but it isn’t often cold.

The price of entry is around 15,000 IDR per person which includes the use of a sarong if you require it. Come at sunrise as it is much cooler and there aren’t many crowds.
