Ferry services operate to take passengers between the islands of Bali and Lombok and especially to the Gili Islands which are a popular beachside holiday destination for many travellers to Bali.
A fast boat can have you at the Gili Islands (just off the coast of Lombok) in around 2 hours if departing from Bali. The cost can vary between operators but is generally around $50-$70 AUD. Other slower passengers ferries will take longer but are much cheaper. You can catch a ferry which will take 6 hours and cost only between $20-$30 per person.
