Campuhan Ridge

The Campuhan Ridge Walk is a free and easy nature walk popular amongst tourists who often visited the central highland town of Ubud.

This trail allows you to take advantage of the cool fresh air and the beautiful hillside panoramas in the region.

Campuhan Ridge Walking Trail Ubud Starting Point & Distance, Bali

Getting to the starting point of the trail is easy. Head to the Warwick Ibah Luxury Villas and Spa, as the path starts just a short distance down a concrete path from the hotel’s main entrance. Keep your eye out for signage which says ‘going to the hill’ and follows the arrow which points left.

You will then walk along a ridge of a valley where you can see the beautiful scenery below you either side of the trail. You will be surrounded by natural forests, so make sure to bring your camera.

Make sure you bring lots of water with you, as the walk is through the rice paddies and forest and there aren’t any places to purchase water along your walk, however, there is a cafe at the 2.5km mark. Most people turn back at this point, however, you can do the full loop back to Ubud which will take around 3 hours.

The trail is mostly a medium grade, with you walking uphill on the way out and downhill on the way back. Comfortable walking or hiking shoes are a must and there can be some muddy portions, so leave your best shoes at home.

The best time to do the walk is in the early morning before the sun is at its hottest, or later in the evening. Make sure to wear plenty of bug spray as mosquitoes thrive in this area.
