Bias Tugel Beach

Bias Tugel Beach is a secluded beach that ranks in the top 10 of Bali’s best-hidden beaches. This is because it remains largely deserted.

The beach is also referred to as Pantai Kecil, a local Balinese word that loosely translates to ‘the Little Beach’. This name holds true to the nature of the beach, a solitary getaway nestled close to Padang Bai.

One of the reasons this remains a hidden beach is because its location is somewhat concealed. For starters, it is approximately 60kms from the airport, located on the mid-east coast of Bali. To get to the beach, you have to take a steep descent half a kilometre down over rocky terrain. But, for those who take up the challenge, they will be welcomed by a majestic body of blue waters lined by pristine sands.

In addition to sunbathing, visitors can also enjoy swimming at Bias Tugel Beach. It is important, however, to make sure that you stay safe as the current near this beach can be very strong. Consequently, swimming at this location is not ideal for children or novice swimmers.

Make sure you catch the stunning sunset at Bias Tugel Beach as you watch the boats depart for the various islands close by. To get to this beach, walk uphill from the ferry terminal at Padang Bai.
