Bali’s affordable range of accommodation options includes great choices for backpackers. Although many of the dorms and rooms are shared, the facilities offered are close to endless. But those looking for a bit of privacy, can often still book a private room for just a little extra.

The first thing you need to bear in mind when searching for the right hostel in Bali is its location. If you plan on spending most of your time at the beach, at bars and restaurants, then check out Kuta as this is where most of the action on the island is held. For something a little quieter, but still, within walking distance of Kuta, check out Seminyak.

If you are after a quiet jungle experience, then look no further than the beautiful Ubud which lies in the centre of the island. Here, you will find hostels nestled amongst the beautiful forested areas where you can sit and relax during your Bali holiday.
